No, really, it’s true.
For a few weeks, I’ve been practicing daily intermittent fasting. I eat between 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM, and I fast between 7:00 PM and 1:00 PM.
The most interesting and important result? It has made me mindful of eating. I am well past my thirties (please don’t do the math), yet only now am I aware that I ate fairly indiscriminately — without thinking. Consequently, I ate more than I realized. Now, I stop and think: Is it between 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM? If not, I don’t eat. Simple. I think more, eat less, and lose weight.
I don’t know whether I’ll practice intermittent fasting forever, but one thing is for sure: From now on, I’ll think — about when I’m eating, what I’m eating, and how much I’m eating.
Better living through thinking. That’s what we do here.

My mother-in-law’s friend has been practicing intermittent fasting for a couple of years with great success! She’d tried many diets, but nothing worked. The weight just fell off and she has so much energy.

Awesome! Do you know specifically what she does?

If I’m remembering correctly, it’s close to what you’re doing, just different hours. I think she eats between 9 am and 2 pm. I can ask!

I do something different. But, just as in your regimen, it causes me to THINK before I eat. And, It works, too!
